Associate Professor at the Department of Information of General Mathematics Department of the TEI Piraeus and member of the Council of Administration of TEI Piraeus. He is in charge of the IT sector of the General Department of Mathematics and has served as Head of the Collection and Exploitation Information Technology Research Centre Piraeus and Islands. He has undergraduate studies at the Department of Mathematics of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (in Mathematics, 1984). Doctoral thesis on “Development of an Intelligent Decision Support System of Interactive Multi criterions” in Section Production Engineering and Management of the Polytechnic Kritis. His main research areas are the Decision Support Systems, the Multi Criteria Decision Analysis, the Software Engineering, the Statistical, operational research, Multidimensional Data Analysis, Artificial Intelligence, the Systems Analysis, Systemic Theory and Object Oriented Programming. He is the author of over 40 papers published in international journals, books and conference proceedings. He has authored and 2 educational books. He has served as General Secretary of the Board the Greek Operational Research Society. He’s done reviewing work in international journals and conferences and he’s a member of many scientific committees. He participates in Interdepartmental Coordination of Postgraduate Studies Program “Educational Technology and Human Resources Development” implemented by the Department of Education of the University of Athens in cooperation with TEI Piraeus. From 1989 to 2003, before joining the permanent OP TEI Piraeus, he had been employed in the private sector and had participation and addressed major IT projects such as: the transition of Information Systems of the Public Sector in the Euro, the development of Decision Support System of the Yellow Pages, the development of the System Management Water Meter EYDAP, the functional reengineering of IGME, the Operational Plan of the Ministry of the Interior on eGovernment, etc.
